The Youth Crew is for students in Grades 9 to 12 who want to earn volunteer hours or support their local library.

Youth Crew meets every Tuesday from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Bracebridge Library. No registration is required.

The Visiting Library Service is a free service for some patrons who may be unable to visit the Bracebridge Library in person.

Patrons may request items such as books, audiobooks, DVDs, and magazines, among other materials. They will be delivered to their home at a pre-arranged time.

Staff who help with deliveries are required to undergo a security screening.

Merlin is great for beginner birders or anyone that wants help ID-ing a bird – with Sound ID, Photo ID, and a step-by-step wizard as available identification tools. You can also save birds to your life list and explore nearby birds.

The eBird app helps you find more birds, share your sightings, and keep track of your bird lists: it’s great for more experienced birders.  You can also use eBird to hone your identification skills, with sound and photo ID quizzes.

iNaturalist suggests identifications using its photo ID tool, allows you to keep track of your observations, crowd source IDs, and contribute to citizen science. It covers all life, so you can see your bird observations alongside any other observations you may make.
