Booking a Room
Rooms may be requested online using a valid Bracebridge Library card. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval.
Bookings are reviewed by Library staff to ensure eligibility, availability, and compliance with Library policy. Requests for rooms require that you have read and accept all terms in the Room Booking Policy.
Check-In & Access to Reserved Rooms
All room users are required to check in at the Circulation Desk upon arrival. Library staff will verify the booking details and provide access to the reserved room.
Room bookings must be made using the library card of the individual responsible for the booking. Library cards may not be used to book rooms on behalf of other individuals, groups, or organizations. Access to rooms is granted only for verified and approved bookings. The individual booking the room must be present during the booking.
Advance Booking
It is recommended that room requests be submitted at least two business days in advance. The Bracebridge Library cannot guarantee that requests made with less notice will be reviewed or approved in time.
Fees, Policy & Confirmation
Please refer to the pricing chart and Room Rentals Policy for full details. By submitting a room booking request, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to all applicable policies and terms.
Room rental fees are reviewed and confirmed by designated Library staff after a booking request is submitted. The online booking system will display a $0 fee at the time of request; this is a system placeholder only and does not indicate approval or a confirmed no-cost booking.
All room bookings with an associated fee are considered pending until payment and any required documentation have been received and approved. A booking is not finalized or secured until these requirements are met.
Non-Resident Use
Non-residents may book study rooms at a rate of $10 per hour, or may obtain a non-resident membership for free study room access. Membership information is available online.
Non-Profit Room Use
Registered non-profit organizations may book up to two room rentals per month at no charge, upon submission and verification of valid documentation confirming non-profit status at the time of booking. Bookings made without approved documentation on file, or bookings exceeding the monthly allowance, are subject to the applicable rental fees.
Library Discretion
The Bracebridge Library reserves the right to accept or refuse a reservation, or to cancel any booking, at its discretion, in accordance with Library policy.
All Makerspace, recording studio, and equipment reservations cannot be approved without a training/orientation session. Anyone wanting to learn more about the Makerspace should email [email protected]. For the Recording Studio, email Marketing and Communications Coordinator Mathew Reisler.
