The Bracebridge Library is expanding its commitment to community well-being through the development of its Community Support Navigation initiative, now supported through the Client Services Manager role.

The Community Support Navigation initiative reflects a growing need within the community for help accessing and understanding available resources. Whether someone is unsure where to start or simply needs guidance, the Bracebridge Library offers a welcoming, judgment-free space to explore options related to housing, employment, mental health, and other community services.
“Libraries have always been places people turn to for information, but we’re seeing more and more that people are also looking for help navigating complex systems,” said Crystal Ilczyna, Client Services Manager. “This approach allows us to respond to that need in a more direct and meaningful way, ensuring our community feels supported and connected.”
Through programs like the Community Connections Café, curated resource displays, Grief Support Kits, and one-on-one appointments, the library is helping to bridge gaps between community members and local organizations. The goal is to make it easier to find and access support, while strengthening connections with partners across Muskoka.
“As part of my role as Client Services Manager, I’m here to help make those connections simpler,” said Ilczyna. “Sometimes people don’t know what’s available, or it can feel overwhelming to figure out where to go. This is about offering a starting point – somewhere people can come to ask questions, feel heard, and get connected to the right supports.”
The Community Support Navigation initiative reflects the library’s ongoing commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and responsive community service, ensuring the library continues to be a trusted place for connection, information, and support.
